Allegations accumulate for McLean

Dinkytown business owner Jason McLean is facing his fourth sexual assault lawsuit, according to a civil complaint filed Monday in Hennepin County District Court.

The suit against McLean, who owns Loring Pasta Bar and the Varsity Theater, includes one account of sexual battery. The plaintiff is seeking damages in excess of $50,000.

Another lawsuit alleging multiple counts of sexual abuse was filed against McLean last year.

The new complaint doesn’t include a claim against the Children’s Theater Company, where McLean worked when he allegedly sexually assaulted the plaintiff, who was 15 or 16 at the time.

The complaint alleges that from August to November 1983 McLean “inflicted multiple instances of unpermitted, harmful, and offensive sexual contact” upon the plaintiff.
