A robbery occurred near the West Bank light rail station at around 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday, according to a campus-wide email sent Thursday afternoon.
A victim was assaulted and robbed by three suspects, who also stole the victim’s belongings before fleeing the area. The victim, who is not affiliated with the University, sustained minor injuries, according to the email.
This is the second assault to take place at a light rail station in the past two months. Two University students were sent to the hospital in May after they were attacked near the East Bank light rail station.
The incident is currently under investigation and the Minneapolis Police Department urges anyone with information to call 800-222-8477.
