No charges will be filed for a sexual assault reported near the University of Minnesota campus earlier this week, police said Wednesday.
There is no evidence a crime occurred, Minneapolis police spokesman John Elder said.
A 25-year-old woman reported being sexually assaulted at an off-campus apartment early Monday, according to a Minneapolis police report. The apartment is home to at least three Gophers athletes, who were listed as neither suspects nor witnesses in the report.
“Those mentioned have done nothing wrong, they are not suspects and they have been extremely helpful to law enforcement in this case,”
Elder said.
