After terrorist attacks this morning in New York City and Washington, D.C., a tearful University President Mark Yudof cancelled Twin Cities campus classes as of noon today. There is no security concern, a University spokesperson said. The classes were cancelled out of respect and the University itself remains open.
The IDS Tower, Mall of America and Minneapolis International Airport have been closed and are being evacuated. Minneapolis public K-12 schools remain open.
