The trend of luxury student housing developments on and around campus continues.

Developers EdR, which developed The Marshall and Core Spaces, recently broke ground on a nearly $98 million apartment building on Harvard Street in Stadium Village called The Hub. EdR will manage the 707-bed complex.

The apartment will be located near another complex slated to be built on the corner of Washington Avenue and Harvard Street Southeast, which drew criticism after developers demolished a number of small businesses to make room for the building.

Construction will continue until fall of 2018, at which point leases will be available to students.

Residents will have access to study lounges, computer labs, a cardio fitness center and a rooftop area which includes a pool, hot tub, fire pits and cooking area.

The penthouse level will include a chef’s kitchen, bar-top dining area, and three-season patio. The building will also offer 10,000 square feet of retail space on the ground level.
