Minnesota junior starting pitcher Seth Rosin was drafted 138th overall in the fourth round of the Major League Baseball amateur draft by the San Francisco Giants Tuesday afternoon. Rosin was drafted in the 28th round by the Minnesota Twins in 2007 but opted to play for the Gophers rather than signing with the team.
Rosin, a Shoreview, Minn. native, was 9-4 on the season with a 4.72 ERA in 103 innings pitched. He led the Gophers to a 3-1 win over Cal-State Fullerton Friday night in their first game of the NCAA regionals with one earned run and three hits allowed in eight innings of work. He was named to the All-Tournament Team for his performance.
