How to Talk to Girls
Published December 4, 2008
Move over, Mystery–the real "Pick-Up Artist" is nine-year-old Alec Greven, a kid from Colorado who wrote this adorable book about, you guessed it, talking to girls. I saw him on the "Today" show spouting his tips, and most of them are actually pretty effective, especially for you 20something boys who pretty much still reside within the confines of the playground we call the U.
Here’s a couple:
1. Comb your hair and don’t wear sweats.
2. Pretty girls, like cars, need a lot of oil.
3. The best choice for most boys is a regular girl. Some pretty girls are coldhearted. Regular girls are more fun.
4. Don’t be a show-off.
Intuitive, right?
"How to Talk to Girls" began its life as a handwritten $3 "book" Greven sold at school, and now it’s just $10, so it makes the perfect gift for your clueless roommates. Plus, it’s sooooooo cute!
