The No. 8 Gophers wrestling team’s (14-3, 7-2)  final regular season dual, which was scheduled to be held on Thursday at Northrop Auditorium, was canceled Wednesday due to the recent inclement winter weather.

“Due to travel complications caused by the recent snowstorms in both Minneapolis and the East Coast, the Takedown Northrop wrestling dual between the University of Minnesota and Rider has been canceled and will not be rescheduled,” according to a statement released by Gopher sports.

With that, the Gophers finish their season with a 14-3 record and will have just over two weeks off before the 2019 Big Ten Championships are held at Williams Arena on March 9 and 10.

The released statement also noted that fans who purchased tickets or parking passes to the event will be refunded automatically within the next week.
