Ramsey County Sheriff Water Patrol Unit officers searched the Mississippi River for the body of an 18-year-old woman presumed drowned Sunday. According to The Associated Press, Annie Nelson and friend Stephanie Sibet – who will attend the University this fall – floated down the river Saturday on a piece of plastic foam they found at a construction site. After the makeshift raft broke apart when it hit a barge that was moored to the shore, Sibet made it to shore safely. The current swept (Nelson) under the barge, a Ramsey County Sheriff spokesman said. – Nathan Halverson
