Local three-star recruit Andrew Stelter announced his commitment to the Gophers on Saturday on Twitter.

The 6-foot-4-inch, 247-pound defensive end from Owatonna High School gives the Gophers six recruits in the class of 2014. He's the second prospect from Minnesota to join and the second defensive lineman.

Stelter had been expected to commit for a while, and he made it official after Saturday's Gopher Recruiting Barbeque.
