Gophers to feature heavy dose of pick-and-roll?

Gophers head coach Richard Pitino’s half-court sets could involve plenty of pick-and-roll action this season.
“Our offense is primarily pick-and-roll,” junior guard Andre Hollins said.
“That’s our whole offense.”
A pick-and-roll style makes sense given the Gophers 2013-14 personnel. Guards Andre Hollins and Deandre Mathieu have shown the ability to break down defenses and athletic stretch-fours Joey King and Oto Osenieks could be prime partners for the guards in the pick-and-pop game.
The Gophers also have an increased number of perimeter shooters this year with the likes of Austin Hollins, Malik Smith and Maverick Ahanmisi spotting up on the outside as kick-out options if the defense collapses.
“I wonder how team’s are going to guard it,” Andre Hollins said.
