Sophomore point guard Alex Ionescu has left the women's basketball team and will return to her native Romania at the end of fall semester.
Ionescu barely played as a freshman and saw action in just 10 games. She was a member of the Romania National Team and helped lead it to a gold medal in Division 8 at the Under-18 European Championships in 2010.
