Coffmangame room robbed

About $200 was stolen Wednesday from a cash register in the Gopher Game Room in Coffman Memorial Union.
A man claiming to have a gun approached the cashier and demanded the money in the register, said University Police Sgt. Joe May. The employee turned over the money.
The suspect had a rag over his hand, claiming he had a gun underneath it, May said. But the victim never actually saw a gun.
After the suspect got the money, he walked to the restroom with the victim and ordered him to go inside and stay there for 10 minutes, May said. The suspect returned to the restroom three minutes later to check on the victim before leaving Coffman with the money.
May said the employee then left the restroom and called the police.
The employee usually works with another cashier or supervisor, May said, but was alone for a few minutes when the incident occurred.
A witness, who was at the game room playing pool with his friends when the incident occurred, said he saw a man lurking around the register near the time of the robbery.
The victim described the suspect as a well-dressed male, May said.
Police have no suspects in the case.
