Officials from Minneapolis and St. Paul declared a snow emergency that went into effect at 9 p.m. Sunday. Snow routes will continue to be in effect in Minneapolis, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. today.
During that time, residents will not be allowed to park their vehicles on the odd side of residential streets. Parking is also prohibited on both sides of parkways, such as East and West River roads.
After 8 p.m. today, vehicles parked on Minneapolis residential streets should be moved to the odd side. On Tuesday, parking on even sides of Minneapolis streets will not be allowed.
In St. Paul today, parking on streets without night-plowing signs is banned. The emergency will end after 20 hours.
In both cities, vehicles not moved could be tagged and towed.
