All aboard: Those Darlins to play free show at the Weisman

Sarah Harper

Just as President Kaler’s inauguration was celebrated again and again and again and again, the re-opening of the Weisman Art Museum (WAM) is getting a gratuitously long visit from the ole U of M Welcome Wagon.

But it’s finally looking like enough champagne bottles have been broken on the side of the Frank Gehry creation. The WAM ship is setting sail into the rockin’, rollin’ waters of Relevant Music Ocean.

This Friday, the Tennessee quartet Those Darlins will board the WAM to play a free show. All hands on deck at 8 p.m. for this all-ages performance. 4onthefloor and Howlers will open.

Not sure if you’ll be able to keep afloat in the punkabilly rock that these ladies are about to drown you in? Test the waters by downloading a free track from the band here.
