The Gophers turned the ball over 10 times and Ohio State shot 37.9 percent from the field. Poetically, the two teams are tied 29-29 at the break.

The Gophers have had plenty of bright spots, aside from the turnovers. Minnesota is shooting 57.1 percent from the field. 

Elliott Eliason is dominating down low — a common occurrence these days. He has eight points, six boards and two blocks. He's led the charge as the Gophers are out-rebounding Ohio State 17-12.

DeAndre Mathieu is actually out-playing Aaron Craft — by a lot. Mathieu has eight points and three assists. Craft? two points, two boards and two turnovers.

LaQuinton Ross has almost single-handedly carried the Buckeyes on the offensive end. He has 11 poionts on 5 for 9 shooting. Minnesota has yet to find an answer for him.
