NCAA adds individual awards for wrestling

It was announced Wednesday that starting in 2012 the NCAA Wrestling Committee will give individual awards to wrestlers for most falls, most technical falls and most dominant wrestler.
For falls and technical falls, regular-season and postseason statistics determine a winner. The most dominant wrestler will be determined by a points system based on match results. There is an 18-match minimum against opponents in the same division to qualify.
In the past, Divisions I, II and III would each have 10 champions and coaches would vote for an outstanding wrestler in each division.
