White to visit Iowa State Wednesday

Former Minnesota men’s basketball recruit Royce White said he is going to make an official visit Iowa State Wednesday, and that he has been talking to Baylor and Kentucky about playing there in the future.

"All three of them are still in the mix," White said before playing in the Howard Pulley pro-am in St. Paul Tuesday night. "I don’t which one I’m going to go with."

White added that he thinks he has about 2 1/2 to three weeks to make a decision.

Rumors had been swirling that White, former Mr. Basketball Minnesota, was being recruited by Kentucky in recent weeks, and last week he told the Pioneer Press that his chances of returning to the Gophers are "slim and none." White never played a game for the Gophers and left Minnesota in February after legal troubles.

It is not immediately clear when White would be eligible to play at any of the three schools he mentioned.
