A couple more budget-friendly Valentine’s dinners

Chin Dian Café
Food: This restaurant boasts a hybrid of Indian/Chinese cuisine (Chindian – get it?) that includes dishes like lemongrass beef skewers and five-spice shrimp. Their V-day special includes a three-course prix-fixe meal. They even have gluten-free desserts for the special-dieted people you love.
Price: $25/ person, half-price wine bottles
Hours: 5 p.m. – 10 p.m., make reservations
Address: 1500 Hennepin Ave. E., Mpls.
French Meadow Café
Food: Bonded with your sweetie over your unusually high love for quinoa? There’s a place for you, and that’s French Meadow. Vegetarian options are many and the fresh-baked organic pastries and breads will make you eat more than you should. For V-day, they offer a four-course Prixe-fixe menu. Remember, chew slowly.
Price: $65/couple, $15 wine pairing
Hours: 5 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Address:  2610 Lyndale Ave. S., Mpls.
El Meson
Food: This uptown eatery offers a variety of Latin American food, from Caribbean to Puerto Rican, and on Valentine’s day they offer an a la carte tasting menu, as well as live Flamenco.
Price: Under $30/person
Hours:  4 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Address: 3450 Lyndale Ave. S., Mpls.
P.S. White Castle is also boasting a Valentine’s Dinner that includes tableside service, candles and flowers. This is probably the nicest possible way to say, “Our relationship has an expiration date, but let’s enjoy the sliders while they last.”
