STATE COLLEGE, Pa. …

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) — Hennssy Auriantal hit his second basket of the game with 40 seconds left to lead Wisconsin to a 49-45 victory over Penn State on Wednesday.
Paul Grant had 11 points and Duany Duany and Sam Okey each had 10 as Wisconsin (16-9, 9-5 Big Ten) won its fifth-straight Big Ten game. It was the first time the team had done so in 35 years.
Penn State (9-14, 2-12 Big Ten) missed free throws down the stretch and Ryan Bailey, who had a team-high 11 points, misfired on a three-point attempt with six seconds remaining.
The Badgers, who rank second in the NCAA in scoring defense, held Penn State to two field goals in the final 11 minutes of the game.
Pete Lisicky, who had 10 points, finally missed a free throw, after making 33 in row since December.
Wisconsin fought back from 13 points down to take its first lead, 41-40, with 5:31 left. Duany had two three-pointers as the Badgers outscored Penn State 14-1 over four minutes.
Calvin Booth swatted a Badger shot into the stands with 12:02 left to preserve a 6-0 Penn State run that pushed their lead to 39-26.
Penn State opened the second half with a 7-0 run as Lisicky hit a three-pointer and a fade-away jumper. But the Badgers came right back, scoring seven unanswered points in 1:30.
Penn State led 24-17 at the half, behind Bailey’s seven points. The Nittany Lions played scrappy man-to-man defense, holding Wisconsin to two points over the last six minutes and leading the entire half. Grant, who had nine points, dropped in a layup with one second left to end a 5-0 Penn State run.
