An 18-year-old University student was treated Thursday at Regions Hospital for a prescription medication overdose after an altercation with an 18-year-old male at his Bailey Hall dorm room, a police report stated. Officers responded to a call made by a student sitting with a group of people at a picnic table outside. The people said they saw the two students arguing. The student called police after the man yelled for somebody to call 911. The woman had to be subdued by the man to keep her from running away before police arrived, University of Minnesota police Deputy Chief Chuck Miner said. One witness described the woman as âÄúacting crazy.âÄù âÄúThere were definitely some anger issues on the part of the victim,âÄù Miner said. The current status of the student’s condition is unknown.
