The Finnish Women’s National Hockey Team fell 4-2 to Canada Wednesday in Vierumaki, Finland. Gopher freshman goalie Noora Räty was handed the loss, tallying 37 saves, according to the Canadian Press.

The loss comes one day after the U.S. National Team took down Räty and Finland 4-0, according to USA Hockey.com Räty had 48 saves.

Räty and fellow Gopher freshman Mira Jalosuo missed the second game against Wisconsin last weekend to travel back to their home country to compete in the Four Nations Cup, the last international tournament before the 2010 Olympics.

The tournament features the U.S., Finnish, Swedish, and Canadian teams.

Finland will take on Sweden on Friday.
