The Gophers men's golf team shot 286 as a team and defeated Mesa Community College who shot 297 at Longbow Golf Club in Mesa, Ariz on Saturday.
Erik Van Rooyen, Tim Peterzen and David Haley Jr. all shot even par 71 on Saturday. Robert Bell shot 73, Tyler Lowenstein recorded a 75 and Jon Trasamar fired an 80.
The exhibition match was the team's first action since taking second at the Big Ten Match Play in early February. The Gophers will take a couple weeks off from competition before competing in the Schenkel Invitational in Statesboro, Ga., March 16-18.
