The U.S. Department of Education announced Tuesday that Minnesota will received American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), also known as the Stimulus Bill, according to a news release. The funding, which comes from the U.S. Department of Education, is a part of the single largest funding boost for Minnesota education in recent history, and accompanies other educational stimulus money from the federal government doled out on April 1, according to the release. The released said the stimulus money will help salvage teaching jobs that were at risk due to budget cuts.
