In what no doubt spells the end of the Rick-Roll phenomenon, news broke today that Nancy Pelosi’s YouTube channel includes a shot at the popular prank. Unfortunately for Internet users everywhere, this means that Rick-Rolling has been (perhaps unofficially) tainted with the kind of insufferable lameness that only bureaucrats can dish out. House conservatives have not yet made any comment on Madame Speaker’s intrusion into pop culture, however we here at the Editorial Board are expecting a statement of purpose on the behalf of the Republican caucus to restrain state efforts that intrude on the free market of Internet memes.
