Junior forward Ryan Stoa will miss the rest of the season after injuring his knee in an Icebreaker Invitational game last weekend.
After scoring Minnesota’s first goal against RPI, Stoa went down with the injury in the first period of the Michgan game the next night. The knee will require surgery and coach Don Lucia said he expects Stoa to return to the team next season.
“We’re going to miss him as a leader and a person this upcoming season,” Lucia said. “I know Ryan will work extremely hard to get back on the ice and have a great year next season.”
