High-rise could replace Big 10 Restaurant, Village Wok

A project for a 27-story high-rise in Stadium Village on the corner of Washington Ave. SE and Harvard Street SE is in consideration, according to the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal.

According to a report in Finance & Commerce, the site will be developed by Harbor Bay Real Estate Advisors, led by co-founders Mark Bell and Tom Lund.

Two buildings occupy the space proposed for the project, one of which was built in 1905 and the other in 1926. They house long time campus staples Big 10 Restaurant and Village Wok, according to the Journal.

The Journal also reports that Minneapolis-based Elness Swenson Graham Architects is working with Harbor Bay on the project.
