The Minnesota women’s club rugby team is back in action this weekend at the Midwest Tournament to try and advance to the national tournament.
The Gophers face Loyola on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Milwaukee, Wisc., to start the tournament. Minnesota is seeded third in the Sweet 16 Tournament.
Minnesota made it to the tournament thanks to a sweep at the All-Minnesota Tournament two weeks ago. Minnesota whipped St. Cloud 42-5 and beat Carlton 15-5 to advance to this weekend’s tournament. Mary Rick was named MVP of that tournament.
