Two of the great issues of this century are the environment and conservation. President Barack Obama recently said we all must all sacrifice and do our part.
How is it then that Minnesota is not taking a stand on the glass of the new Vikings stadium? Migrating birds are in danger of crashing into this glass, as it reflects the sky and clouds.
The Audubon Society is involved. There was a peaceful demonstration on Sept. 27.
The Vikings have indicated that the money is there, but the suggested changes to protect birds are not going to take place.
I have sent a similar letter to a number of officials but have received no response to date. Please help me understand how the Vikings owners can just ignore the situation and the wishes of citizens of the state of Minnesota. Will the Minnesota Daily take a stand on this issue?
