Friday: Uptown Art Fair

One of the most-attended events in Minnesota has finally arrived. Paintings, prints, jewelry and more will be on display throughout Uptown this weekend. Celebrate creativity, support local artists and soak up the sunshine this Friday — for free!

Where: 1420 The Mall, Minneapolis

When: Noon to 8 p.m.

Saturday: Flip Phone XXL: Short Shorts

If they’re not already, Flip Phone’s dance parties will eventually become the stuff of legends. This weekend’s theme is — naturally — the flip phone era. Short shorts are the suggested outfitting, but wear whatever you’re comfortable in. Your dance partners will love you all the same.

When: 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Where: First Avenue, 701 N. 1st Ave., Minneapolis

How much: $12 in advance, $14 at the door

Sunday: Taco Tour on Lake Street 

Lake Street’s Taco Tour gives you an opportunity to become a self-proclaimed foodie for a day and act like a tourist in your own neck of the woods. Oh, and there will be tacos. So many tacos. Fresh air, fresh Mexican food and a fresh perspective of your own neighborhood. You better get registered.

When: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Where: Tour starts at K-Mart, 10 W. Lake St., Minneapolis

How much: $2 to register
