University of Minnesota President Bob BruininksâÄôs 2010 proposed budget will be presented at the Board of Regents meeting this week, University spokesman Dan Wolter said. The budget draft includes a 3.125 percent tuition increase for in-state undergraduate students âÄî or $300 per student. Wolter said because of the new middle-income scholarship, about 60 percent of Minnesota students will see their tuition decrease. The proposed budget will be presented on Friday, but the Regents will act on it at their June 24 meeting. The Regents will also elect a new chair and vice chair âÄî a nominating committee has recommended Regent Clyde Allen for chair and Regent Linda Cohen for vice chair.
