The Board of Regents will announce the finalists for the next University of Minnesota President at FridayâÄôs meeting.
Once selected for the interviewing process, candidates will be invited to campus on Nov. 17 and 18 to meet with students, faculty and staff in the University community.
Along with an interview conducted by the Board, finalists will be available for question and answer sessions.
The interview with the Board of Regents will be open to the public, University spokesman Dan Wolter said.
The new president will take over for President Bob Bruininks beginning July 1. Board members said they hope to have a new president selected before the end of the fall semester.
Hundreds of people applied for the position, though an exact number has never been identified and names of the candidates were kept secret. The regents reviewed four semi-finalists at their Thursday meeting.
