UW’s Johnson named coach of women’s Olympic team

Brian Deutsch

Just a few quick notes and links this morning…

– UW women’s coach Mark Johnson was named the 2010 U.S. Olympic women’s ice hockey coach today by USA Hockey. Johnson will take a year-long break from coaching the Badgers in preparation for the Vancouver games. (USA Hockey)

– More fall out from East Lansing. Michigan State suspended skaters Corey Tropp and Andrew Conboy for the rest of the season after their attack on Michigan’s Steve Kampfer. (Puck Daddy)

– Gophers media availability is tomorrow so I’ll have more after that.
