Hoops plays at Florida St.

Fresh off a three-game tournament in Hawaii, the Minnesota men’s basketball team takes to the road again tonight.
The Gophers (4-1) tip-off against Florida State in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge, a game they won last season by beating Virginia 74-62.
Minnesota enters tonight’s game off its first loss of the season. After defeating Hawaii-Pacific 86-75 in the Hawaii Pacific Thanksgiving Classic in Honolulu on Friday and TCU 107-99 on Saturday, the Gophers fell to Georgetown 76-60 in Sunday’s championship game.
In the trophy game, Minnesota fell behind early, taking a 19-point deficit into the locker room at halftime, and could not recover.
Gophers freshman Michael Bauer led the team with 17 points. Seniors Terrance Simmons and John-Blair Bickerstaff each chipped in 11 points. Georgetown’s Kevin Braswell led all scorers with 18 points.
Braswell was named tournament MVP, while Simmons and junior Dusty Rychart were named to the all-tournament team for the Gophers.
Minnesota looks to get back on the winning track against Florida State. Following tonight’s contest, the Gophers return home to host Morris Brown on Monday.
