The Minnesota women’s hockey team announced earlier in the week the addition of Ashley Stenerson for the 2010-2011 season.
Listed as a forward/defender, Stenerson finished her career at Moorhead High School as the team’s all-time leading scorer. As a senior last season, she tallied 56 points in 23 games.
"It has been my dream since I was six years old to play for the Gophers," Stenerson said in a statement. "It is a great school and has great academics as well as a great college atmosphere."
Stenerson will be among seven incoming freshman in the fall.
