Sophomore goaltender Amanda Leveille was named the WCHA Defensive Player of the Week on Wednesday. Leveille allowed just two goals in Minnesota's sweep of then-No. 3 North Dakota last weekend. She recorded 48 saves in the series. 

This is the third time this season Leveille has been given this award. She previously won it the week of Oct. 16 and the week of Jan. 22. Leveille and the Gophers will take on Bemidji State this weekend at Ridder Arena.
