Elmo’s stomach growled as he watched the sauerkraut and mustard form a teetering, sloppy meniscus in the valley between the steaming bratwurst and the top of the bun. “Wow, what a great day for a barbecue.” “I should hope you think so,” said the 6-foot white rabbit behind the counter, “even though it’s mostly cloudy today, with a 20-percent chance of showers, the high is in the lower 60s.” Elmo greedily hoisted the brat to his powerful jaws. “I can deal with it,” he thought, shrugging his shoulders. “Especially since the weekend will be nice and dry with highs in the 50s and lows in the 30s.
