The Minnesota men’s golf team will be adding another member for its spring season, as the team announced Donald Constable has transfered from the University of Texas to return to his home state and play for the Gophers.
Constable, the 2005 and 2006 state champion at Minnetonka High School, will be eligible for the 2010 spring season, which begins on Feb. 12 with Big Ten Matchplay in Miami, Fla.
As a Longhorn, Constable played in 18 tournaments and averaged 74.54 per round.
The new addition may be able to give the spark the men’s team needs after failing to finish higher than third in a tournament during the fall season.
