University of Minnesota police were seen carrying away a body near Mariucci and Ridder Arenas Thursday morning.
The incident was seen at the corner of 5th Street Southeast and 17th Avenue Southeast around 9:30 a.m.
In a tweet from the department, police confirmed a “dead on arrival” call between 17th and 15th Avenues Southeast. The tweet further specified the deceased person was not a University student and that no foul play is suspected in the case.

Police were not willing to comment on the matter as of Thursday afternoon.
