Nebraska announced Wednesday that senior All-American defensive tackle Jared Crick has a torn pectoral muscle and will miss the rest of the season.
Crick was voted preseason Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year. He had 9.5 sacks in both 2009 and 2010. ESPN NFL draft expert Mel Kiper Jr. rated Crick as the 18th best player in the 2012 draft class.
The Gophers will host the Cornhuskers for homecoming on Oct. 22.
