2 Gingers founder plans small business incubator

Northeast Minneapolis may soon have a new small business incubator, courtesy of the man behind 2 Gingers Whiskey.

Kieran Folliard recently purchased 1401 Marshall St. NE, according to The Journal. The entrepreneur will move his headquarters into the 31,000-square-foot building after completing renovations over the next two months.

That building will house Driven Donkey, a consulting firm providing marketing, legal, accounting and sales services to small businesses.

“We’re looking for people that already have a product,” Carrie Nicklow, president of 2 Gingers Whiskey, told The Journal. “They’re looking to take their product to the next level.”

Beam Inc., the Illinois-based spirits company that owns national brands like Makers Mark and Jim Beam,  acquired 2 Gingers Whiskey in December for an undisclosed sum, only 11 months after Folliard launched the brand.
