Gophers women's hockey sophomores Hannah Brandt and Milica McMillen have received WCHA weekly awards for their play last weekend against Bemidji State.
Brandt, Minnesota's leading scorer, was named the WCHA Offensive Player of the Week. She recorded five points in the series, four of which came on goals. Despite leading the WCHA in points, this is the first time this season that Brandt has received this honor.
McMillen was named the WCHA Defensive Player of the Week. She had five points–all on assists–in the sweep. McMillen was previously named WCHA Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Dec. 11.
Top-ranked Minnesota will head to Madison, Wis. this weekend to take on No. 2 Wisconsin. The two teams played earlier this season, and the Gophers won both games.
