Harvard Barber Stylists closes, new Asian sandwich shop on the way

The Stadium Village mainstay closed Saturday, while the new business is expected to open mid-October.

Stadium Village lost one of its long standing businesses this weekend. Harvard Barber Stylists closed on Saturday and as the clippers are cleaned a new restaurant waits in the wings. Bun Me owners Sherman Ho and Ted Sayara hope to open the Asian sandwich and bubble tea shop in mid-October. âÄúThis place needs something new,âÄù Ho said. The owners are familiar with the area as former University students. They have a combined 25 years of restaurant experience, and HoâÄôs parents formerly owned Village Wok just two doors down. âÄúWe just decided this was the spot,âÄù Sayara said, who mentioned the lack of an Asian sandwich market in the Midwest. The sandwiches will be similar to Vietnamese sandwiches, according to the two, starting with a French baguette base. The shop will also serve bubble tea, which the two said is still something new to the area, though other nearby Asian restaurants feature the drink.
