Gophers sophomore goaltender Amanda Leveille was named the WCHA Defensive Player of the Week on Wednesday after posting back-to-back shutouts against Minnesota State – Mankato the previous weekend. Leveille recorded 19 saves in both victories on the weekend.
Leveille has posted a .948 save percentage in 24 games this season. She has allowed 28 goals in 1416:44 minutes on the season.
The Gophers will host St. Cloud State this weekend at Ridder Arena.
