An attempted armed robbery happened in Dinkytown late Saturday night, according to an all-campus alert.
The incident took place near 6th Street Southeast and 14th Avenue Southeast at 11:05 p.m. The suspect — who was described as a male wearing a dark hoodie, dark pants and a face mask — was armed with a knife.
This is the second SAFE-U alert on an armed robbery sent out this week. Around 11:30 p.m. on Thursday night, an armed robbery was reported near 20th Avenue South and Riverside Avenue on the West Bank campus. The alert listed two suspects, one of whom had a black pistol.
