Sullivan described Quam as having support from faculty within the college as well as outside it. âÄúShe is a leader of calm and careful judgment, with strategic vision, and, very importantly, she has that very special set of skills needed to share and help realize that vision,âÄù Sullivan said in a prepared statement. Quam holds a Ph.D. in social welfare from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Quam said, as dean, she wants to create an âÄúengaged collegeâÄù by inviting diversity in disciplines and conducting quality research, the news release stated.
