The Gophers volleyball team dropped to 12th in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association poll released Monday.
The Gophers ranked 10th last week, but they fell two spots after losing this weekend to undefeated Kansas State at the Golden Hurricane Classic in Tulsa, Okla. The Wildcats jumped to No. 11 from their previous No. 19 ranking.
UCLA took the top ranking from Nebraska, which dropped to third. Southern California now ranks second in the nation.
Upcoming opponent Illinois ranks 20th on the list. Another upcoming opponent, Northwestern, received votes for a ranking.
Minnesota will travel to play the Illini and Wildcats this weekend.
