It looks like there is no shortage of competitors for the 2014 Darwin Awards. Pedestrians crossing against the light at the corner of Church Street Southeast and Washington Avenue Southeast might want to consider the physics of a collision between a human and a bus or light-rail train. Crossing halfway is a doubly bad idea; train tracks are a poor substitute for a pedestrian island while waiting for a bus to pass.
