Former Gophers cross country and track star Ladia Albertson-Junkans has been named a semi-finalist for the 2009 NCAA Woman of the Year, according to Gophersports.com.
 
Albertson-Junkans was named the Big Ten representative for the national honor in July and now joins nine other remaining candidates from across the nation. The three Division I finalists will be named on Oct. 17.
