Chipotle is a staple of every college student’s diet. It’s cheap, tasty and offers humanely raised meats and plentiful vegetarian options, so what’s not to love about it? But ordering can become mundane and tedious, especially after you’ve exhausted every combination of the limited menu options. Fear not – there are three off menu items that will keep Chipotle spicy.
1. Quesadilla
Chipotle’s quesadilla puts Taco Bell’s to shame. Not only are the ingredients fresher, the balance is better. Their quesadilla isn’t overly cheesy, and is particularly delicious with Barbacoa and hot sauce. One caveat – after two ingredients, Chipotle charges customers extra for additional ingredients.
2. Quesarito
Chipotle also makes quesaritos, a mix between a burrito and quesadilla. The burrito is wrapped with either one or two tortillas (ask for cheese with at least one of the wraps), then fried, much like a chimichanga without the salsa. Beware before ordering this disgustingly decadent calorie-bomb – some customers report being charged for two burritos because of the second burrito wrap.
3. Nachos
For the more health-conscious, Chipotle also offers nachos, a slight variation on the beloved burrito bowl. To order these, ask to substitute tortilla chips for the rice. Unlike its greasier counterparts, there’s no chance for extra charges, making Chipotle’s nachos an ideal choice for both body and pocketbook.
